In our area, 136,960 people go hungry, for many different reasons. Men and women, children and adults, the working poor, the out-of-work, the elderly, the disabled. Another thing to consider is that in Chattanooga, one in five children doesn’t know where their next meal is coming from. Programs geared toward feeding children provide nourishment for growing bodies, and can become a way to educate entire families about the availability of food assistance. Hunger affects the way children learn and develop and your small donation can help make a monumental difference. This year, Pickett Homes is hosting a virtual food drive in support of the Chattanooga Area Food Bank.
